Hello,

I hope that someone can give me some advice, tips etc. My nephew Jacob has a watercooled chinese MT-A4, with cable operated twin discs.

I am having difficulty adjusting the front brake. I can get a small amount of play in the lever, but the brake binds on. When I adjust it so that the wheel turns freely there is a lot of play on the lever. I cannot seem to find the point where it doesnt bind, and the brake doesnt have much play.

All advice, tips etc, greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

In case anyone else suffers from this problem, heres what I found out today, this seems to have fixed the problem. (fingers crossed!)

Took the calipers apart and put copper slip on the caliper pins, so that the calipers move in and out freely now. Used more copper slip on the backs of the pads, and the piston. This seems to have stopped the binding, and juddering sound. Then carefully adjusted the brakes bit by bit using the adjusting screw at the caliper.

Cheers
Steve

PS Thanks to all of the guys at the track for advice over the past months.
