HiyaHey people,
My name is Nick and I have only recently discovered the world of minimotos. I've been down to traq twice and am keen for more. I have a CAG Camel rep which I've been slowly circulating on around Traq running it in and learning how to ride it the last few Saturday mornings.
Always the way though, I need more power! I am going to get a liquid cooled eventually but figured I should learn to ride th CAG properly first. Have any of you ever put a performance carby kit on a CAG? If so did it make much difference?
Well I shall see you at the track some time soon, I'll try to keep out of the way of the quick people!
Cheers,
Nick 147

sup mate i have a mk2 cag and it had a 14mm bored carb, uprated air filter, fibreglass reeds acceleration was crap prob clutch set up but on the straight it was about 1-2mph quicker, the heads you see on ebay are jsut as crap really unless you go pbu or headstrong but that cost £140odd so your probally better off buying a water cooled which can go at 4200 new or even less used. I used my cag 2 time at traq and then bought a b1r which it nicer to ride, faster and different position so you can get your knee down.
As you say ride it better thats all that really counts.

Cheers B1R, appreciate your feedback. Will save the £££ and put it towards a quicker machine after I learn to ride the CAG half decent.

dont waste your moneyfirstly welcome to the club, I wouldn't waste your money upgrading a cag, believe me i spent over £1000 on upgrading a air cooled cag, carb , exhaust, jets, reeds, plus a chrome headstrong engine. it caused nothing but problems Terry had it in bits more times than it was on the track.
See you doen at the track soon.
