B1r not starter and floodingHi all ive done about 5 full tanks on my B1r and its been running fine, so i though id buy some holme tech reeds fitted them and it ran ok. 2 weeks later (today) i came down traq and tried starting it took quite a few pulls to start but eventually got going. After about 35minutes of riding it cut out while idling round a corner then a hour later full throttle didnt go over 25ish mph then cut again then didnt start at all. I've taken the reeds out and put the stock ones back in and when i try to start it, it floods everytime so i clean the spark plug and try again and eventually got going while giving it throttle but without throttle it cuts out. The spark plug is sparking and have tryed a new spark plug.
thinking its the coil or the woodruff key.
Thanks

thats not good mate hope you get a new one soon.
just next time make sure you mix oil and petrol correctly as that seems to be alot of problems on the bikes that we get in to fix.
I would like to advice everyone when mising petrol to put the oil in the mixing bottle first and then the petrol as this starts to mix them already and the everytime before you fill ya bike up to shake the mixing bottle throughly first. Also please make sure you are all using the correct mixture.

sorry to hear about your bike b1
just a bit confused about your comment about putting the oil in first
marty because if you are using a standard pre-mix bottle you fill to 1L
then add your oil to the correct ratio. so unless u do some maths before hand
ie. the quantity of oil you will need to give you a 40:1 mix then have something to measure out that quantity.......
sounds like hard work all to save a little shaking of the pre-mix bottle....and have i got muscles in my right wrist but thats another story

easy way to mix oil to give you 25 to 1. measure outn 200 ml of oil put it in a normal gallon can you can by from a garage then fill it up with petrol. you then have 25:1 mixed up by the petrol being put in and just a small shake needed before putting in bike.
